Lettuce from my garden before the rabbit(s) got to it. I came outside one day to find my only 3 heads half chewed. The entire plant died not long after.

July Theme: Fragile

July 29, 2010

When Dan found the baby bunnies, he thought they were baby chipmunks. Sure, their ears are rounded, but that ain’t no chipmunk. haha

Their feet, which may someday become very powerful, now look so fragile.

I love wildflowers. You can guess why I chose both of these themes for this.

July Theme: Glittering

July 26, 2010

The watermelon in the garden is getting big (and glittering after being watered, along with the spider web on the right)! Look back at this one from not too long ago. So cool!

July Theme: Found

July 25, 2010

It’s been a hectic month. We had a huge storm, (that seemed contained to our tiny town), knocking our power out for 3 days and taking out a tree (along with a couple fences). We were fortunate to have absolutely no damage to the house.

After Dan cut the tree down, this is what he “found”, (or maybe I found after his hours of work) – lots of firewood. We have 4 of these in our backyard…with a gas fireplace in our house. haha!

Cucumbers again! I call this “Cozy Cucumbers”. Although, these things are prickly!

I’ve been very busy lately and it seems I’ve only had time to take photos of my immediate surroundings. It’s ok, though, I wanted to document the garden growing. Hope you like it, too. :)
